My story begins in 1973 when I started selling furniture and the occasional brass and iron bed. During 1974 I began to restore these beds so starting a new career or maybe nightmare for a short time. I sourced many unrestored beds in the eastern parts of Australia & in 1976 started travelling extensively in England over a number of years buying literally thousands of beds & shipping them back to my shop in Rutherglen. Since leaving Rutherglen in 1988 I have continued with the beds in the Wangaratta area until my “sea change” in 2008 when I moved to a secondhand shop in Rosebud, Victoria on the Mornington Peninsula and did not have a proper workshop. I am now ready to continue. I hope you will find a bed to your liking in my collection. We now have two locations. Our New South Wales antique shop is at Culcairn, just a 30 minute drive from Albury and Wagga, and our South Australia antique workshop is in Stepney.
