About
Quality: it’s the Twin Hills way
Besides standing stallions, we’re involved with just about every part of the racing and breeding game.
Olly and Amber Tait can both boast CVs deep on learning and qualifications – but, in truth, their credentials for running one of Australia’s iconic stud farms aren’t on paper: they are in the blood. They are almost as steeped in the racing game as the horses they tend and raise.
Olly’s family have bred some of Australia’s greatest racehorses. Baguette, Tie The Knot and Spinning Hill all carried the Tait family’s famous red and white colours to multiple G1 victories. Thanks to those successes, the family was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. Olly began a professional career in bloodstock in his early 20s, and during his 15 years at Darley – Sheikh Mohammed’s bloodstock business – Olly established it in Australia, went on to manage it in Japan and the United States before relocating to the UK in 2010 where he was responsible for their operations globally. It’s true to say that he was instrumental in helping to shape the Sheikh’s breeding empire, and he was centre stage with many of the most significant decisions that have had such an impact on the thoroughbred world. Amber’s career began in Sydney and initially focused on business development for large professional service firms, before she joined Olly on his journey around the world of racing and breeding.
